The Art Show Theme for the 2018 Fall Semester is Oceans!
This semester in art we are learning about our beautiful oceans. We will be creating artwork inspired by whales, sea turtles, jelly fish, coral reefs, and much more. Students are already creating amazing, original works of art. Please join us at our fall semester art show on Tuesday, December 11th, to support our MES artists, and see all the incredible art for yourself!
Would you like to help at the art show? Parent help is always welcome and appreciated. If you are interested in helping at the art show, please drop me an e-mail!
Empty Bowls The Empty Bowls Project will be working with 4th grade classes this semester at MES. Students will be creating and glazing bowls to support the Carson Valley Community Food Closet. Empty Bowls raises funds and awareness about hunger in local communities. Parents will have an opportunity to donate $20 to the Carson Valley Community Food Closet if they would like to receive their child's bowl. Bowls will be available at the art show on December 11th. More information will be coming home with students.
